하나님의 나라는 육신의 생명이 끝난 후 영혼만 가는 우주너머 멀리 있는 곳이 아닙니다.  

하나님의 나라는 우리 가운데 이루어져 가는 나라입니다.  영원한 생명을 주신 하나님께서는 우리에게 빛과 소금의 

사명으로 우리가 사는 삶의 자리에서하나님 나라를 이루며 살아갈 것을 비전하셨습니다.  (마태복음 6장 9-10절)  

뉴욕새교회는 1세와 2세가 함께, 한글권과 영어권 성도들이 어우러져 우리가 장차 가게 될 하나님의 나라뿐만 아니라 

우리에게 임하시는 하나님의 나라를 만들어 가는 그리스도의 몸된 공동체가 되기를 비전합니다.   

1.      예배살이

      예배는 성도의 삶에 기초요 근본입니다.  주일에 드리는 예배는 우리 각 성도가 삶으로 드리는 예배의 공동체적 

      표현입니다. 그리고 그 표현된 예배를 구체적으로 우리의 삶으로 살아가는 사람을 제자라고합니다.  

      뉴욕새교회는 예배를 드리고 예배를 살아가는 제자들의 공동체입니다.  

2.     복음살이

성도는 과격한 (radical) 삶을 살아야 합니다.  돈과 권력과 편리함이 지배하는 세상에서 예수 그리스도가 주인임을 

고백하며 살아가는것은 세상의 기준으로는 환영받지 못할 일입니다.  하지만 뉴욕새교회는 세상의 틀 (paradigm)을 

깨고 복음의 틀로 살기를 힘쓰는 공동체입니다.  

3.     은혜살이

하나님께서 예수 그리스도의 탄생과 삶, 죽음과 부활을 통해 우리에게 주신 은혜는 우리만 복 받고 잘 먹고 잘 살기 

위함이 아닙니다.  그 은혜는 우리를 인종과 언어와 세대의 장벽을 초월하여 나타납니다.  

받은 바 은혜를 매일의 삶 속에서 나누고, 베풀고, 섬길 때 은혜의 진정한 가치를 삶 속에 나타낼 수 있습니다.  

뉴욕새교회는 지체로서 보편적인 예수 그리스도의 교회와 또 멀고 가까운 지역 공동체를 위해 하나님의 은혜를 나누며 

살아가는 공동체입니다.  

New Church of NY Vision Statement

“Body of Christ living His Kingdom on earth”

The Kingdom of God is not a place beyond the black hole far away in the space.  

As Christ taught us, the Kingdom of God is among us.  We are called to be the light and the salt of the world,

bringing His Kingdom on wherever we live in whatever we do.  (Matthew 5-6)  

The New Church of NY envisions to be the One Body, the Body of Christ, bringing the KM and EM together,

crumbling the walls of linguistic, generational, ethnic barriers.  

We strive to be the community of faith that lives out the heavenly Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

1.     Life of Worship

    Worship is fundamental and foundational for all God’s saints.  Our corporate worship on the Lord’s day is 

     a communal expression of worship, and as the disciples of Christ, we live out our worship Monday through

     Saturday at the places of our lives.  NCNY envisions to be worshiping community of Father’s children and

     Christ’s disciples. 

2.     Life of Good News

All saints are called to radical life.  The world is ruled by wealth and power, and our faith in the Lordship 

of Jesus Christ is not welcome.  In this world against God’s Kingdom, NCNY envisions to be the Body of Christ

that denounces the worldly paradigm but embraces the paradigm of Good News of Jesus Christ.

3.     Life of Grace

Throughout the life, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, God has poured out His lavished grace

upon us.  Such grace was not given to us so that we would be rich and powerful.  We come to deeper

understanding of Father’s grace as we share, give and serve the broken, sick and needy.  

NCNY, as a member of catholic church, envisions to be the serving community for the universal church, 

the communities near and far with the grace of our Heavenly Father.
